Fall Harvesting


Each fall we get together to celebrate the end of the summer and the beginning of our fall harvesting season. We spend time gathering acorn, grains, nuts, berries and all the fruit and vegetables that are available to us. In this class you will learn several methods of preparing acorn for use, including leaching the tannic acid out with primitive and modern methods, as well going over techniques for drying or preserving many other foods that have been harvested.
We invite all who are interested to join us every fall to spend time getting to know the bountiful harvest that our Creator has given to us. You will also receive recipes for all the wonderful foods made from the harvest that you can sample throughout the day.
