Primitive Living: From Nothing to Everything
This 5 to 7 day long class is designed to take students from a controlled "survival" situation into fully living with the earth. You will start with typical camping gear like your tent and sleeping bag, and as the week progresses you will replace them with a primitive alternative. Other items that might be replaced include your knife, bowl, spoon, shoes and water containers.
There is an old story about weaving a basket, how each strand supports those around it, and in turn is supported by those around it. Thus each part become one with the whole, as there is giving and receiving in all directions, much as a tribe works together. Yet even through this sharing, the beauty of the basket is not what it is made from or how it is woven together. The beauty of the basket is the empty space inside that waits to be filled.
For those of you that would like to join us for this wonderful learning experience, we only ask that you become like the basket.
Prerequisites: Primitive Skills I, and Primitive Skills II
